Sammā Kammanta - "right action"
This is a collection of how-tos and resources for Doing Web Things,
as discovered by the
Balo Injie Anagārika World WebWalker formerly WoodsWalker,
and his loyal followers.
It is built from my files i make for my own reference,
built in a way that i can just throw them up
here whenever i add or change anything, without much extra thought.
This means filenames and content will change and even be deleted rapidly.

What these are for
* Building websites with
ClassicPress
(or WordPress v.4.9.x).
mostly coding how-tos, and
info/howtos on plugins
for them.
* General web development how-tos: apache, php, shell command-line and scripts – which make my API for building websites.
* A little bit on some
Ubuntu Desktop GUI apps
that i use.
I started learning Web and unix/linux when the only place to do it was where the rubber hits the road, and as time and "progress" have rolled by, i have experimented and taken what i thought was useful, but still like to stay close to that same sweet spot. So you won't find anything about the "cool" stuff here. Or pretty pictures neither. Text is fast, it lasts, and it's quick and easy to modify. Looooove text!
* "cpwp" in a filename or content means applies to ClassicPress and WordPress.
* All mentions of "wordpress" and "wp" can be taken for the most part to refer to Wordpress and ClassicPress.
* Anything "cp" only will be specific to ClassicPress.
All my sites are converting to
ClassicPress
— for the most part WordPress how-tos should still apply.

is all done with the magic of text files, a little bit o' bash, a little bit o' vim, a little bit o' CSS, with the heavy lifting done by the apache web server.

How to find things:
The filenames pretty much reflect their content;
are named so as to order hierarchically (sorta like categories).
Use your browser Ctrl-F to find your interest.
To see what is new or updated, click on 'Last modified' twice to sort by newest first.

Why the Buddhism propaganda?
Can't help it. These concepts ... in the past not as conscious and verbalised ... now tied to sets of words and practices ... are the drivers behind what i do (for past 19 years now).
To explain the tech, without saying something about the philosophy behind it, seems incomplete, and even wrong.
And also, maybe in some utopian vision of counteracting the empty, ethics-less, and downright evil motivations that a lot of the Web and tech has sunk to.
