"FDA is considering approving outpatient remdesivir for the
prevention of severe COVID19. Efficacy is excellent, with 81%
prevention of hospitalization or death. Like mAbs, this requires IV
injection, but remdesivir is easier to synthesize, store, and ship."

"We certainly need more anti-Covid pills, but a small trial that was stopped early with only 150 patients, claiming >50% reduction of mortality (50% placebo ->20% drug) and fulfilling criteria to get an EUA, seems far-fetched"
